Coastal Family Medicine of Maine is working conscientiously to do our part to minimize our footprint on the environment. This begins with our office space located in the Eastlight building located off South Street in Blue Hill, Maine. Completed in July 2008, by the architect owned SISU Group LLC the Eastlight building "...strives to set a precedent for regional development through sustainable building practices that engage energy efficient systems, high grade materials and finishes and responsible site development. The end result being a building with an interior environment that is healthful and enhance everyday tenant comfort. Eastlight was designed and built to meet and/or exceed LEED V2.2 New Construction standards with the intent to achieve a basic certification level with the U.S. Green Building Council." In addition to the green building and office space, Coastal Family Medicine of Maine utilizes a computerized medical records system which eliminates the need for paper medical records and paper prescriptions saving trees and natural resources. We will continue to embrace methods and technologies in our practice which conform to a green environmental philosophy.
